Reports of explosions in Bandar Abbas amid allegations of an attack on Iran have not been officially confirmed

London – OnePress

Middle East Eye quoted unnamed sources as saying there were reports of an attack attributed to the UAE on Iran, coinciding with the sound of explosions in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas.

There has so far been no official confirmation from the Iranian or Emirati side on the veracity of these reports or the nature of the explosions, nor has independent information been available on the extent of the damage or the locations targeted.

The allegations come in the context of rising regional tension in the region, with accusations between regional parties and growing fears of a widening of indirect confrontations.

The information in circulation is still subject to independent verification.
