The branch office of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah Region, on Wednesday, the Consul General of the Republic of Sudan in Jeddah, Ambassador Dr. Kamal Ali Osman Taha, on the occasion of the end of his term of office, in a gesture of appreciation for the relations and cooperation between the two sides during his term of office.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Ambassador Essam Abdel Rahman, Vice-Consul, and Advisor Abul Qasim Mustafa Mohammed, where the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs branch in Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, Farid bin Saad Al-Shehri, the Sudanese Consul General, praised the achievements achieved during his tenure, despite its short duration, and the development of Sudanese consular relations with Saudi Arabia.
Al-Shehri wished Ambassador Kamal Ali Osman success and payment in his next stop, stressing the continuation of communication with him, and pledged to provide support and support to the new consul general and the staff of the Sudanese consulate, pointing to the attention they receive from the ministry branch and the ceremony department.
For his part, Ambassador Kamal Ali Osman expressed his thanks and appreciation for this tribute, stressing that what was achieved during his tenure was the result of the cooperation and support he found from the branch of the Saudi Foreign Ministry, reflecting the Kingdom's keenness to strengthen its relations with Sudan and develop them.
He also praised Saudi support to Sudan during the exceptional circumstances experienced by the country, especially in the political and humanitarian fields, praising the Kingdom's reception of large numbers of Sudanese and providing facilities and support to them.
The Consul General stressed that his time in Jeddah will remain in his memory, expressing his aspiration to continue communication and coordination with the Kingdom from his next position, hoping that his successor will enjoy the same level of support and cooperation that he found during his tenure.
The farewell ceremony was concluded with the presentation of a shield in honour of Ambassador Dr. Kamal Ali Osman, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah Region, Farid bin Saad Al-Shehri, in recognition of his tenure as Consul General of the Republic of Sudan in Jeddah.
