– The Executive Director of Dongola Municipality, Dr. Makawi Al-Khair, announced the completion of preparations for the success of the winter agricultural season, targeting the cultivation of 265,000 acres, of which 89 thousand acres with wheat crop.
Makkawi explained that the work of ploughing the targeted land has made great strides, pointing out that the emergency committee of the agricultural season stood on the ground on the needs of agricultural projects, and made the necessary arrangements to provide gasoline, seeds and fertilizers.
He revealed efforts to raise the ceiling of agricultural financing for small farmers to 20 million pounds, in addition to the appointment of new departments and boards of directors for a number of agricultural projects, in order to raise their administrative efficiency and address the problems they face.
