An evening in Jeddah brings together Saudi and Sudanese diplomatic figures and businessmen

The house of the former Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Sudan, Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Jaafar Al Amer, in Jeddah, witnessed an evening that brought together a number of diplomatic figures, businessmen and public figures from Saudi Arabia and Sudan, in a meeting to address the relations between the two countries and reviewed aspects of cooperation and partnership between them.

Awadullah Nawaii, director of the OnePress Agency, said that the meeting was characterized by a spirit of affection and appreciation, pointing out that Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Jafar embodied during the evening the meanings of generosity and humility, when he insisted on providing food to his guests himself, in a scene that reflected, according to his description, the depth of social relations between the Saudi and Sudanese peoples.

The evening witnessed the presentation of the adviser Saleh Nasser Al-Shamrani carved plaque bearing the inscriptions of the Kaaba honorable Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Jafar, in a gesture described by the attendees as reflecting appreciation and loyalty.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmed bin Hussein Al-Sahli, a member of the Sudanese-Saudi Business Council, Major General Ziauddin Abdul Rahman, Deputy Director of Sudanese Customs, and businessman Tibb Hussein, known for his charitable work, along with businessman Idris Daer, an oil agent and owner and operator of a number of vessels.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Hamad Al-Ghamdi, Director of the Office of the Governor of Makkah Region and Commander of the Royal Guard in the Emirate, and Molana Ibrahim Mohammed Ibrahim, Legal Adviser of Aramco, and Mr. Mustafa Makki, businessman, in addition to a number of personalities.

Nawai pointed out that the meeting regained part of the memories related to Saudi-Sudanese relations and witnessed discussions on the future of cooperation between the two countries, in light of their historical, social and economic ties.

He stressed that the evening reflected the importance of continuing communication between Saudi and Sudanese figures and promoting partnerships that serve the interests of both countries and peoples.
