The Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Uganda warned members of the Sudanese community against dealing with illegal or unaccredited educational entities to teach the Sudanese curriculum, stressing its keenness to protect the future of students and ensure the safety of their academic path.
The embassy said in an explanatory statement that it followed the recent statements and allegations made by a person named Idriss Suleiman al-Fadhlabi, describing himself as the director of the so-called “Academic Reference Foundation,” noting that those statements included abuses against the embassy, the ambassador and members of the mission, as well as information and allegations that confirmed that they had nothing to do with the truth.
The embassy explained that the entity in question is not registered or accredited with the Sudanese Ministry of Education and National Education to teach the Sudanese curriculum outside the country, noting that the person concerned received explicit and repeated advice from the embassy to complete the ratification procedures from the competent ministry.
The mission affirmed its right to refute what it described as misleading allegations and take legal measures in accordance with the known frameworks, while appealing to parents wishing to educate their children in accordance with the Sudanese curriculum to ensure their registration with schools and educational centers that have been certified and officially accredited by the Sudanese Ministry of Education and National Education.
She stressed the need to verify the legal status and official accreditation of any educational institution before enrolling students, and ensure that it is officially authorized to teach the Sudanese curriculum, in order to preserve the rights of students and ensure recognition of their course of study and their results and certificates in accordance with the approved controls.
The embassy also called on parents not to rely on advertisements or information circulated through social media, and to refer to the embassy or the competent Sudanese educational institutions to verify the accredited institutions and centers.
She stressed the continuation of coordination with the Federal Ministry of Education and National Education to work on legalizing the teaching of the Sudanese curriculum in Uganda in accordance with educational and educational standards, in order to enhance partnership and responsibility between the parties to the educational process.
The embassy concluded its statement by stressing that its doors are open to all Sudanese citizens without discrimination, and that it continues to perform its diplomatic and consular functions to serve citizens and take care of their interests, and work to protect the future of their children in accordance with laws, regulations and diplomatic customs.
