A member of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, chaired the meeting of the Planning and Supervision Committee on the Military and Civil Integration Strategy at the Nimeiri Higher Military Academy to discuss unifying the efforts of state institutions and directing their potential towards supporting national security and serving citizens.
The Director General of the Maritime Ports Authority, Eng. Al-Jilani, said that the Committee agreed to choose the Maritime Ports Authority to coordinate between civil and military institutions, based on its strategic position and its vital role in supporting the national economy.
He explained that the committee aims to mobilize the available energies and potentials within the state institutions, and raise the efficiency of resource management to serve national priorities.
The committee will continue its meetings on Tuesday to discuss scientific and research papers presented by experts and specialists, in preparation for the preparation of recommendations and practical results and submit them to the President of the Sovereign Council for approval and circulation to civil and military institutions.
