The National Council for Drugs and Toxins in Khartoum state revealed the seizure of quantities of smuggled and unregistered medicines during inspection campaigns targeting a number of pharmacies, in addition to monitoring facilities that operate without the presence of the pharmacist in charge, in violations that threaten the safety of the use of the drug.

The director of the National Council for Drugs and Toxins of Khartoum State, Dr. Dr. Yasser Mustafa Atta Al-Mannan said that the campaigns were carried out in coordination with the Federal Council for Drugs and Toxins, as part of a plan to strengthen control over the pharmaceutical sector, stressing the need to take legal action against violators, and to continue campaigns to ensure the circulation of safe medicines and comply with the requirements governing pharmaceutical work.
