The General Directorate for Combating Smuggling in Khartoum State, in coordination with the military police, carried out a security operation targeting a human trafficking den, which resulted in the release of 74 detainees of foreign nationalities, the arrest of 12 suspects suspected of belonging to a criminal network, as well as the seizure of large quantities of weapons, ammunition and military vehicles.
Brigadier General Abbas Abdul Qader Dinar said that the operation resulted in the seizure of heavy and medium guns, various rifles, thousands of rounds, space communication devices of the type “Starlink”, and a number of vehicles, stressing that the operation reflects the readiness of the security services in addressing organized crime.
The team paid tribute to Salah Ahmed Ibrahim police and Major General Dr. He stressed the importance of continuing coordination between the regular agencies to enhance security, combat human trafficking, and protect victims.
