Al-Burhan affirms Sudan's keenness to strengthen brotherly relations with South Sudan on the anniversary of independence

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, on the occasion of the national anniversary of his country's independence, wishing the South Sudanese people more progress and prosperity.

In his message, Al-Burhan stressed the depth of historical relations and brotherly ties between the peoples of Sudan and South Sudan, expressing his aspiration to continue cooperation and joint coordination to enhance the mutual interests between the two countries.

The Chairman of the Sovereign Council pointed to Sudan's keenness to develop bilateral relations and raise them to wider levels in various fields, in order to serve the aspirations of the two peoples towards security, stability and development.
