Sudan participated in a high-level delegation headed by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Dr. Al-Sadiq Jamal Al-Din, at the Mobile World Congress in Shanghai, China, to discuss the latest developments in 5G technologies and artificial intelligence, and explore opportunities to localize them to support the digital infrastructure in the country.
The Sudanese delegation held a series of meetings with representatives of a number of major international technical companies and institutions, which dealt with opportunities to build strategic partnerships, transfer expertise, and strengthen the capabilities of the telecommunications sector, thus contributing to improving the quality of digital services, qualifying national cadres, and benefiting from international experiences in the path of digital transformation.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation stressed that the participation comes within its direction to enhance international cooperation and attract new technologies, which supports the goals of sustainable development, raises the efficiency of the digital sector, and keeps pace with global technological transformations, to provide more advanced digital services that support economic development and meet the needs of citizens.
