Khartoum State has reached a preliminary agreement with citizens' representatives in Manshiya and Al-Gharaif West to address the obstacles related to the Nile Street extension project, after a field tour led by Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza with the participation of engineering and surveying leaders.

The state confirmed its commitment to compensate those affected by the route, with the Planning Committee directing an urgent meeting to review the documents and complete the procedures necessary to start the project.

In the context, the Governor was briefed on the operational challenges at the Al-Juraif West water station, and was directed to provide the spare parts required for the backup generator to ensure the stability of the water supply, as well as completing the needs of the electrical network in the region.

The state also issued instructions to the tenants of Nile Street Parks to settle their legal and financial status before the end of June, stressing the need to take the necessary measures against non-compliant parties.
