Childhood Council warns of increased risks of exploitation and school dropouts among children

The National Council for Child Welfare warned of the worsening situation of children in Sudan, announcing that about 71% of them are living in dangerous conditions as a result of the repercussions of the war since April 2023.

The council said that children are becoming more vulnerable to economic exploitation, violence and various violations, noting that the conflict has contributed to high rates of child labor, school dropouts, displacement and loss of family protection, calling for an urgent humanitarian response that places the protection of children as a top priority.
