Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Jibril Ibrahim discussed with the Governor of the Red Sea State Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohammed Nour, in the presence of the Director General of the Maritime Ports Authority, a number of economic and development issues of common interest.

The minister said in a post on his official Facebook page that the meeting dealt with the work of the seaports and their role in supporting the national economy, as well as discussing the development of financial and administrative procedures to facilitate trade movement and raise the efficiency of performance.

The two sides stressed the importance of enhancing coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and the State Government and the Maritime Ports Authority to meet the current challenges and support development and stability efforts in the Red Sea State.
