Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare Mutassim Ahmed Saleh announced the start of the implementation of 500,000 small projects this year as part of a government plan to provide 3 million projects for youth and women during the period from 2026 to 2030.
During the launch of the second wave of the voluntary return program for Sudanese from Egypt, the minister said that the ministry has started to implement productive projects and agricultural partnerships, stressing the readiness of 10,000 projects to start immediately for the benefit of beneficiaries.
Saleh pointed to the government’s continued efforts in supporting voluntary return and providing basic services to returnees, as well as expanding social protection, health insurance and vocational training programs, in coordination with a number of local and regional partners.
He added that the plan aims to enhance employment and production opportunities and improve the living conditions of those most affected by the consequences of war and displacement.
