The Democratic Bloc welcomed the joint statement by regional and international partners on Sudan, saying it represents important support for efforts to end the war and launch an inclusive political process leading to a sustainable civilian transition.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the bloc stressed its rejection of military solutions, calling for the cessation of hostilities, the protection of civilians and the facilitation of humanitarian access to those affected by the conflict.
She stressed that the success of any political process requires the participation of all political, civil and community forces without exclusion, which contributes to building a national consensus that addresses the roots of the crisis and establishes a stable transition.
The bloc also renewed its commitment to support any serious national dialogue aimed at ending the war, achieving comprehensive peace and restoring the democratic track, stressing the importance of the solution stems from the Sudanese will and is based on the principles of transparency and national independence.
