The Sudanese Democratic Bloc reiterated its refusal to enter into any negotiations or communication with the Rapid Support Forces, stressing that its position is based on the refusal to grant political legitimacy to anyone accused of serious violations during the conflict in the country.

The bloc said in a statement issued after its meetings in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa that the settlement of the Sudanese crisis requires an inclusive national political process led by the Sudanese themselves, with the participation of political and civil forces keen on the stability and unity of the country.

The bloc quoted its spokeswoman, Dr. Nidal Hisham, as saying that any path to a solution must exclude the parties involved in crimes punishable by law, ensuring a political process that reflects the aspirations of the Sudanese and establishes a sustainable peace.

The statement also stressed the cohesion of the components of the Democratic Bloc and the unity of its positions, denying the existence of any internal differences or divisions, stressing that all parties under its umbrella work in joint coordination to achieve its political and national goals.

The bloc added that it will continue to communicate with regional and international parties and Sudanese national forces supporting the national solution, thus contributing to enhancing stability and consolidating a peace that preserves the sovereignty of Sudan and the independence of its national decision.
