Kassala – OnePress
The governor of Kassala, Major General (M) Sadiq Mohammed Azraq, issued a decision to extend the state of emergency throughout the state for three months, as part of measures to enhance security and stability.
The resolution stipulates that all emergency orders issued under previous resolutions from 2023 to 2026 will remain in force for the duration of the new extension.
The authorities said the decision was based on the mandate given by the Sovereign Council to declare a state of emergency, in accordance with the provisions of the constitutional document, the Emergency Law and the protection of public safety.
The extension is aimed at supporting security measures and maintaining stability in the eastern state, which shares borders with several countries and is a strategically important area.
