The governor of the Darfur region, Minni Arko Minawi, said that the Sudanese people remain committed to the values of compassion and brotherhood despite the repercussions of the war, stressing that the manifestations of solidarity and steadfastness reflect the preservation of society's humanity under difficult circumstances.
He added that the provision of sacrifices and assistance to the displaced in the camps of the Red Sea state carries a message of solidarity and loyalty with the families forced by the war to flee, pointing out that these initiatives embody the cohesion of the Sudanese with those affected by the conflict.
He explained that the humanitarian efforts led by young people go beyond the provision of food assistance, to confirm the continuation of the values of chivalry and solidarity within the Sudanese society, despite the growing human suffering.
Minawi concluded his statements with mercy on the victims, and pray for the recovery of the injured, expressing his hope that the displaced people will return to their areas and homes as soon as possible.
