The Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council and Commander of the Army, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, conducted a field tour in the city of Omdurman, which included Al-Wadi Street and Omdurman Market, in the framework of monitoring the security situation and public life in the capital.
Videos released by official platforms showed crowds of people gathered on both sides of Al-Wadi Street to greet the demonstration, chanting pro-armed forces, while the tour was accompanied by regular security measures.
Al-Burhan also inspected the commercial movement within Omdurman Market, one of the largest traditional markets in Sudan, and met with a number of traders and citizens, listening to issues related to living conditions and commercial activity.
The tour comes as Sudanese authorities seek to show signs of a gradual return to stability and civilian activity in parts of the capital after months of security turmoil linked to the country’s conflict.
