Local sources said that elements of the Rapid Support Militia kidnapped on Saturday evening four civilians from the area of “Eyal Bakhit” in the locality of Khoi in Western Kordofan state, and took them to an unknown destination.

According to the sources, the abductees are Shams al-Din Adam Siraj al-Din, his son Mohammed Shams al-Din Adam, as well as Mahmoud al-Shartayeh and al-Raideh Hamid, who were taken at gunpoint, without disclosing the reasons for their detention or the destination to which they were transferred.

The incident has raised concerns among the region’s residents, amid growing fears of escalating violations against civilians, particularly in relation to abductions and enforced disappearances.

Human rights activists described the incident as a violation of human rights and international laws that prohibit the targeting and detention of civilians outside legal frameworks, calling on human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene urgently to reveal the fate of the abductees and work to ensure their safety.
