The organizing committee of the Sudan Comprehensive Civil Society Conference / Track III announced the organization of a virtual conference online from June 19 to July 24, 2026, under the slogan: “Human Dignity, Environment, and Cultural Memory”, with the participation of activists, experts, academics and representatives of civil society organizations from inside and outside Sudan.

The six-week conference aims to put Sudanese people at the forefront of attention in light of the repercussions of war and the deepening humanitarian crisis by discussing issues of human dignity, environment, cultural identity and cultural memory.

The conference will address humanitarian issues related to food, medicine, shelter, the situation of displaced people, refugees and war-affected communities, as well as the challenges facing civil society organizations and humanitarian workers.

Participants will also discuss the state of Sudan’s antiquities and heritage, including violations of historical sites and the file of looted antiquities, as well as environmental and wildlife issues and the impact of the conflict on natural resources and biodiversity.

The agenda includes sessions on community peace and reconstruction, the role of civil administrations, Sufi roads and civil society organizations in reconciliation and the restoration of the social fabric, in addition to a session on Sudanese art and creativity and its role in confronting war and promoting a culture of peace and hope.

The conference seeks to develop a common Sudanese civil agenda and reorganize the priorities of civil action, while enhancing coordination between Sudanese initiatives at home and abroad.

“Track 3” is an independent civil initiative that does not belong to any political, governmental or security entity, does not receive funding from any state, organization or private entity, and relies on independent voluntary action.
