The Ministries of Finance and Infrastructure in the state of Gedaref in eastern Sudan discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation to prepare projects in the field of alternative energy and develop mechanisms to rationalize fuel consumption, in the framework of supporting development and economic stability in the state.
The Director-General of the Ministry of Finance and Manpower in the state, Ms. Najat Ahmed Mohammed, held a meeting with the Director-General of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development, Mr. Hassan Tajeddine Aissa, to discuss a number of development and service files of common interest.
The meeting dealt with the preparation of integrated technical studies for alternative energy projects, with the aim of providing sustainable solutions that support the productive and service sectors, as well as discussing proposals to rationalize fuel consumption and develop controls that contribute to the optimal use of available resources.
The two sides stressed the importance of enhancing coordination between the two ministries to expedite the preparation of technical studies and economic feasibility studies for the proposed projects, in order to support the economic and service development efforts in the state of Qadarif.
