Port Sudan – Monitor
Circulating footage showed a member of the Rapid Support Militia carrying a sophisticated Cadex MC Kraken 300 Norma, a long-range sniper rifle classified as a high-performance precision weapon used in special operations and tactical shooting.
According to available technical information, the rifle is produced by Canadian company Cadex Defense, a manufacturer of precision sniper systems and tactical equipment, based in the province of Quebec.
This model is known for its high long-range shooting capability and its reliance on 300 Norma Magnum ammunition for professional snipers and precision military operations, raising questions about the routes of this type of advanced weapon into the hands of militia members.
These scenes come in light of increasing reports of the use of advanced weapons and military equipment within the Sudanese theater of operations, amid fears of growing cross-border supply and armament networks.
