The Sudanese Presidency of the Council of Ministers denied, on Friday, statements attributed to the Prime Minister on what was described as “the lack of response of the children of the clean people” to his call to contribute to the burdens of the stage, after circulating through the channel “Sudanese 24”.
The Prime Minister's Information Office said in an official statement that the statements made by journalist Ashraf Khalil "are completely false," stressing that they "do not represent any expression issued by the Prime Minister."
The statement added that the circulating phrases "are not appropriate for the positions of officials and cannot be issued by the leadership of the civilian government," stressing that what was published is "completely incorrect."
The official denial came after a wide circulation of statements on local media and communication platforms, which sparked interaction and criticism in Sudanese circles.
