This edition does not provide an anonymous whistleblower submission system. Ordinary email and social media are not presented as anonymous, end-to-end encrypted or guaranteed secure. Do not use them to send sensitive evidence or identifying source information.
Separate protection
A sensitive-source service needs separated infrastructure, limited access, trained operators and security review. The private newsroom and its restricted document storage are not substitutes for such a submission service. No blanket confidentiality guarantee is made.
